This course explains the function and operation of the transmission and transaxle, the mechanical system, the hydraulic control system, the electronic control system, and the transaxle final drive. Instruction also includes the theory behind automatic transmissions including mechanical power flow and electro-hydraulic operation used on late model vehicles. Aligns with NATEF and ASE industrial standards.
