Program Description
The Elementary Education Alternative Licensure Program is a 12-credit program with a supervised field experience component for participants who have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or higher-level degree) and want to become a teacher at the elementary level (K-8th grade). The program helps provide students the opportunity to prepare for certification (teacher licensure) to teach K-8th grade in the state of New Mexico. Future students should consult with the Dean of Arts & Sciences for information on acceptance into the program.

Required Courses
A student may enter the program at any point in the sequence of coursework. However, Elementary Field Experience must be taken the final semester (Fall or Spring)
